The Center for Historic Preservation Box 80 • Middle Tennessee State University • Murfreesboro, Tennessee 37132 July 3, 1996 Mike and Jill Webster 3166 Hampshire Pike Cross Bridges, TN 38474 Dear Mike and Jill, The National Register nomination we prepared this year for the Webster Farm has been approved by the State Historic Preservation Board, received its final review from the Tennessee Historical Commission, and is on its way to the National Park Service in Washington for final approval. Congratulations! You should hear of the formal listing of the farm in the National Register later this summer. As you know, the Center provides its National Register service to communities across Tennessee as an university public service and as an opportunity to train our graduate students. However, we do always have out-of-pocket expenses for any nomination, especially the cost of preparing the 5 x 7 black and white photographs and slides. To help us maintain a fund in the MTSU Foundation to cover these expenses, we invite our National Register project sponsors, like yourself, to make a donation to the Center's account at the MTSU Foundation. Our out-of-pocket expenses for the farm nomination were approximately $300. If you are willing to make a donation, please write the check to MTSU Foundation, for use of Center for Historic Preservation. We enjoyed working on your project and are proud that it will soon be listed in the National Register of Historic Places. Sincerely, Dr. Carroll Van West National Register projects coordinator xc: Dr. J. K. Huhta, Center director (615) 898-2947
