. The
two
center
gravestones
and
engraved
with "
Hunter
" and "
Dixon.

Historical Notes
In
1853
,
Scots-Irish
immigrants
from
North
Carolina
were
some
in the
Dancyville
community
who
sought
and
petitioned
the
Presbytery
for a
church
of their
own
. The
petition
passed
and the
construction
of the
church
began
in
1854
. The
church
building
was
remodeled
in
1939
because
of a
donation
made
by
Sidney
Walter
Edwards
of
Whiteville
,
TN
,
who
died
in
1937
.
Edwards
was
christened
at the
church
in
1868
and
later
became
communicant
in
1882
.
Due
to
declining
membership
, the
church
was
sold
to the
Dancyville
Miracle
Temple-COGIC
Church
.
