Grady George is shown working up the bottom of 1.3 acre pond, constructed five years ago and has never held water very well. Water depth got down to eighteen inches and was dumped out. Pond will be treated with soda ash in an attempt to seal bottom. Located eight miles east of Woodbury.
One in a series of photographs of agricultural activities in Cannon County, TN that were taken by W.L. Clement, District Conservationist for the U.S. Soil Conservation Service, and his assistants between the mid-1940s and mid-1970s.
