acknowledge
the
receipt

your
communication
concerning
Insane
freemen
&c
, and in
reply
would
state
that
I
have
inquired
of the
Chairman
of the
County
Court
and a
few
Physicians
in
order
to
ascertain
if
possible
whether
there are any
insane
freedmen
in this
County
, and how
many
, but
so
far
I
have not been
able
to
hear
of
one
, and the
impression
is
that there
is
not any in the
County
. Should
I
hear
of any at any
time
I
will
report
immediately
.
