superintendent
George

Judd
notes
that
it
has been
quiet
in the
county
with
no
disturbances
. He also
notes
that the
labor
market
has been
very
good
for the
freedmen
since
labor
is
in
demand
.
Judd
closes
his
report
with a
lengthy
description
of the
conditions
of the
schools
in the
area
. He
notes
that
schools
are
common
throughout
the
county
and
doing
well
, with the
exception
of
Winchester
and
Fayetteville
.
Judd
remarks
that the
school
in
Murfreesboro
has a
large
attendance
and
is
doing
exceptionally
well
.
Judd
concludes
his
report
by
noting
that he has
successfully
paid
many
bounty
claims
.
