"Beginning at a point in the Westerly boundary of the Dixie Highway, which point is North 41 deg. 36 Min. West 541.9 feet from a point in the Westerly boundary of said Highway, said latter point begin in line with the Southerly boundary of the National Cemetery as marked on the ground by stone monuments at the Southerly corners; thence with the Northerly boundary of tract owned by the Evelyn H. Jordan Estate South 48 deg. 40 Min. West 170.0 feet to a Southeasterly corner of a tract owned by Pauline Smalling; thence with the Easterly boundary of Pauline Smalling, North 41 deg. 36 Min. West 175.0 feet to a point in the southerly boundary of a tract owned by Walter King; thence with a southerly boundary of Walter King, north 48 deg. 40 min. East 170.0 feet to a point in the Westerly boundary of the Dixie Highway, south 41 deg. 36 min. East 175.0 feet to the point of beginning, containing 0.7 acre, more or less, and is the same tract devised to Martha Harlan by her father, George Harlan, by will of record in Will Book No. 2, page 398, of the County Court Clerk’s Office of Rutherford County, Tennessee, less a stip 5.0 feet wide along the Easterly side, which has been acquired by the State of Tennessee, for the Dixie Highway. The deed conveying this tract to Martha Harlan by Martha Harlan, Executrix of George Harlan, is recorded in Book 64, page 239 of the Register’s Office of Rutherford County, Tennessee." |
