Photograph 0034. This photograph is among the photos taken in conjunction with the Stones River Commission study of 1928 for the purpose of making recommendations to the War Department about land acquisition to create Stones River National Military Park. |

It is believed to be an Albert Kern Photograph from the turn of the 20th century. The print was produced by Shacklett's Photography of Murfreesboro, Tenn. It depicts an African American man with a gun and a dog standing near an early interpretive sign at McFadden's Ford. |
