"Beginning at a point in the Westerly boundary of the Dixie Highway, which point is in line with the Southerly boundary of the National Cemetery as marked on the ground by stone monuments at the Southerly corners; thence with the Westerly boundary of the Dixie Highway, North 41 deg. 36 Min. West 541.9 feet to the Northeasterly corner of a tract owned by the Evelyn H. Jordan Estate, thence with the Northerly boundary of the Evelyn H. Jordan Estate, South 48 deg. 40 Min. West 870.0 feet to the point of beginning; thence continuing with the Northerly boundary of the Evelyn H. Jordan Estate, South 48 deg. 40 Min. West 175.0 feet to the Southeasterly corner of a tract owned jointly by George Harlan, John Harlan and Ethel Thornton North 41 deg. 36 Min. West 175.0 feet to a point in the Southerly boundary of a tract owned by Walter King, thence with the Northerly boundary of Walter King, North 48 deg. 40 Min. East 175.0 feet to the Northwesterly corner of a tract owned by Samuel Harlan; thence with a Westerly boundary of Samuel Harlan, South 41 deg. 36 Min. East 175.0 feet to the point of beginning, containing 0.7 acre, more or less, and being the same tract devised to Joseph Harlan by his father, George Harlan, as shown by his will of record in Will Book No. 2, page 396, of the County Court Clerk’s Office of Rutherford County, Tennessee. The deed conveying this tract to Joseph Harlan by Martha Harlan Executrix of George Harlan, is recorded in Book 64, page 239 of the Register’s Office of Rutherford County, Tennessee." |
