Hiram Jenkins conveyed to his son James F. Jenkins two tracts or parcels of land lying in District 9 in Rutherford County Tennessee. The first tract, containing by estimation 73 acres, the second tract being the 1/3 of 130 acre tracts |

H.H. Kerr released and quit-claimed to J.F. Jenkins all of his right, title and interest in the land described in this deed, being that he had the right under the last will and testament of his late wife Alice Kerr – 1871-11-04 |

"The first tract bounded as follows beginning in the middle of Murfreesboro and Wilkinson turnpike road thence North 146 poles to a stake thence West 52 poles to W.R. Jenkins line, a stake, thence North 69 poles to a stake in Burrus line, thence East 127 poles to a stake thence South about 200 poles to the middle of said turnpike road, thence westwardly with the middle of said road to the beginning. The second tract, being 1/3 of a 130 acre tract, which is bounded on the south by the lands of M. Burton, on the east by the lands of V.D. Cowan, on the north by the lands of the Manual Labor School and the west by the lands of Alice Kerr and Charles Jenkins." |
